Plano Dentist, Dr. Denton Wiginton, provides services at his Plano Dental Offices located near the S. E. corner of Coit and Legacy.

The first thing that I noticed when I visited Dr. Wiginton was that his office is packed with the latest technology. I am a bit of a techno-geek and I love it when my Dentist has more advanced imaging technology that I have dreamed of. Now, what is especially interesting is that Dr. Wiginton is a very quiet, non-assuming, almost shy person, but, the reality is that he is so extremely confident of his abilities that he has absolutely no need to be gregarious or outgoing about his own skills. His quiet intelligence belies the serious attitude with which he approaches his profession.

His office has a 360 degree x-ray imaging device that takes a picture of your entire jaw. This comes into good use when documenting the changes to your teeth over time and is especially valuable when he has the need to either extract wisdom teeth or when he has a patient needing dental implants.

Dr. Wiginton also has an amazing little wand about the size of a toothbrush that has a camera on the end. He can insert this into your mouth and take video pictures of the spaces behind and between your teeth. It is a very valuable tool to investigate for gum disease and really helps to show you the cracks and fractures in the enamel of your teeth.

Dr. Wiginton is very big on dental hygiene and especially on flossing regularly. His favorite saying is... "Just remember to floss the teeth that you want to keep." I think it is a hoot, but was never a regular flosser. Now, because of that tag line that he expresses almost everywhere that he goes, I floss almost every day.
